For the download to function properly, it is neccessary to register. Registration is free of charge, and your data will only be used by faktorzehn.org and not be made available to other parties.

To use Faktor IPS, you need the following software first:

There a two ways of installing Faktor IPS: Either you may choose to use the Eclipse updatesite or choose to install manually via browser download.

1. Start up your Eclipse Workbench
2. Make sure you have a working internet connection. If you connect to the Internet via a proxy, you may have to enter the proxy’s data in the menu item „Window→Preferences→Install/Update“
3. Choose the Menu item „Help → Software Updates → Find and Install“
4. In the following dialog, check „Search for new features to install“. Click „Next“. Then, Click „New Remote Site“, enter „FaktorIPS Update Site“ as the name and http://update.faktorzehn.org/faktorips as the URL of the new site.
5. Click „Finish“ and enter your faktorzehn.org account data.

Choose a FaktorIPS version fom the Downloadcenter (direct link) and unzip it into your Eclipse plugin directory. Then restart Eclipse.
